The "Spirit of Hervey Bay" is the only whale watching vessel in the world that offers you the chance to view the Humpback whale closer than you ever thought possible.

The "Spirit of Hervey Bay" has two underwater viewing rooms located in the hulls of the vessel, each with four viewing windows. These windows allow you to get below the waterline and enjoy the whales in their natural environment. The whales have a very curious nature and often dive back and forth beneath the boat - its almost like they are toying with you. Such an intimate experience with these majestic creatures will take your breath away!

Our half day cruises will take you into the Hervey Bay Marine Park and Platypus Bay for an 'up close and personal' whale watching experience. Our sixteen years experience guarantees you will have a safe, comfortable, and unforgettable whale watching adventure

The "Spirit of Hervey Bay" is a catamaran. Specifically built for whale watching, the "Spirit" provides first class cruising and comfort for your whale watch outing. The "Spirit" is the first of it's kind in the world and offers a new and exciting way to watch the whales - through our unique underwater viewing rooms.

While you watch the whales swim beneath you in their underwater world you can also listen to their magical songs through a hydro phone located on board. It is a truly memorable event and one not to be missed.

We operate Humpback whale watching tours from late July to early November each year. The "Spirit" has operated these tours for 16 years. This specialist experience means you are guaranteed a comfortable, safe and exciting whale watching trip.

The vessel has fully walk around upper and lower decks as well as the ever popular large tiered foredeck. We also have a large cabin area where you can sit on comfortable lounges and enjoy a light refreshment or snack from our galley. There is plenty of room for everyone with no over crowding.

Prams and strollers are also welcome.
