COVID19
COVID-19 INFORMATION
On 29 January 2020, under the Public Health Act 2005, the Minister for Health and Minister for Ambulance Services made an order declaring a public health emergency in relation to coronavirus disease (COVID-19). The public health emergency area specified in the order is for ‘all of Queensland’.
Under the current Stage 3 Restrictions in Queensland, tourism experiences can seat guests together during the tourism experience however social distancing should be maintained wherever possible.
How are we protecting our customers?
- Those who are unwell or at risk are requested not to board
- Social distancing is encouraged
- Reduced passenger numbers
- Enhanced cleaning and hygiene practices
- Morning and afternoon tea is served to passengers. All food is pre-wrapped.
We are aware that during the experience of whale watching, social distancing is very difficult to maintain due to passengers wishing to make the most of their opportunities to see the whales when they are beside or on one side of the vessel. Due to the number of levels and spaces both inside and outside of the vessel, the Spirit of Hervey Bay is well placed to provide separation between passengers, if you so desire.
If you are at all concerned about being amongst other people, we suggest you reconsider travelling with us at this time.
